Living History Tours: Hourly guided tours are available Wednesday through Saturday and highlight the lifestyle of the average Acadian immigrant/settler and the Creole plantation farmers who settled along the Bayou Teche in the mid 1800s. Visitors will take a guided tour of the Olivier Plantation Home and learn firsthand about the different gardens and native plants located within Longfellow. $8 per person ages 4 and up. 9 am-4 pm. First Saturday Community Days: In an effort to strengthen community ties, residents of St. Martinville who show proof of residence can enjoy the grounds for free on the first Saturday of every month. 9 am-4 pm.
All month long: In recognition of African American Heritage Month, a display will be on view in the Interpretive Center offering a glimpse into the life of an enslaved person who worked and lived on a sugarcane plantation located along the Bayou Teche in the mid to late 1800´s. 9 am-5 pm.
